Reuben, Unstable as Water

Genesis 49:3-4 - Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

Unstable as water, and doubleminded: James 1:8.  Reuben is:

Industrious, Genesis 30:14
Lecherous, Genesis 35:22
Willing to stand alone in righteousness, Genesis 37
Reproving, Genesis 42:22
Dependable, Genesis 42:37

"Unstable as water" could also describe Jacob himself in some respects.  It takes one to know one.
