John 10:16 - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Speaking of the Church as a whole, which is largely Gentile. Important cross refs: John 11:51-52; Ephesians 1:10; Ephesians 2:11-22; I Peter 2:10.
John 10:22 - And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
"Feast of the dedication" = Hanukkah / Festival of Lights. Celebrates the rededication of the temple after the revolt of the Maccabees against Greek rule, 165 B.C.
Note / Quote at John 10:27-28 - "Assurance [of salvation] is only for those who are truly saved, as evidenced by their life of obedience. They follow the One Who's voice they hear. John 10:27 is evidence, John 10:28 is the blessing." - David Cloud. Cross ref Romans 8:13-14.
John 11:47 - Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
Christ's enemies NEVER denied that He actually performed miracles. They admit it in several places, but still do not believe on Him. Likewise with the Apostles, Acts 4:16.
Note at John 12:39-41 - The vision which Isaiah saw of the glory of God (Isaiah 6:1-10) is said by John to be the glory of Jesus! JESUS IS GOD!

King David Confesses
In Psalm 51, important to read the Psalm's heading: To the chief Musician, a Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
For this account, II Samuel chapter 11 (the sin) and 12 (the rebuke from Nathan).
This Psalm is a clear example of confession to repentance. From JFB Commentary: "The Psalm illustrates true repentance, in which are comprised conviction, confession, sorrow, prayer for mercy, and purposes of amendment, and it is accompanied by a lively faith."
Psalm 51:3 - For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Acknowledge - I John 1:9.
My sin is ever before me (that is, "I am painfully aware of my sin; it is on my mind as an abiding grief"), I John 1:8, 10. Romans 7:24.
Psalm 51:4 - Against thee, thee only, have I sinned.
Notice, people hurt or involved by David's sin: Uriah, Bathsheba, David's wife Michal, David's messengers (II Samuel 11:4), Joab, the nation of Israel as a whole. All affected.
But David is aware that none of these were sinned against as much as God Almighty was. Joseph said the same thing, Genesis 39:9. If we would focus on not sinning against God, we would not sin against others.
Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
A wonderful prayer in time of confession, for He shall "cleanse us from all unrighteousness" in our confession, I John 1:9. See Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:10.
Psalm 51:11 - Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
A prayer that no New Testament believer ever needs to utter, praise Jesus!
Psalm 51:17 - Blessed promise to claim when repentant! And a beautiful motivator to sincere repentance.

Notes in the Nineteenth Psalm
Psalm 19:1 - The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Cross refs: Psalm 50:6, 97:6, 148:3-4; Romans 1:19-20.
Note at Psalm 19:4-6 regarding the sun: The Bible never taught a flat earth. Note "circuit" of the sun's path. See Ecclesiastes 1:5.
Psalm 19:12 - Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Verse 12 destroys both doctrines of sinless perfection & loss of salvation due to sin. If we confess sins we know, we are cleansed from all, including unknown sins, I John 1:9. On not knowing the inner self: Jeremiah 17:9.

The LORD Shut Him In
Genesis 7:16 - Noah could have shut the door of the ark, but the Bible tells us the LORD shut the door of the ark, not Noah. See the following:
1) Noah was not the one to shut out all those outside the ark. God condemned them and shut them out. God spared Noah the responsibility or conscience for their condemnation. Noah had preached righteousness to them for 120 years and so his conscience was clear of them. Likewise, we are not responsible for condemning those who are shut out of heaven. God shut them out, based on their rejection of Him.
2) Noah was not the one to shut in all those inside the ark. The ark pictures salvation from God's judgment. No man can place another inside, nor even himself. God alone seals them in, John 10:27-30; I Peter 1:5, etc.
3) The LORD still shuts the door on salvation opportunity. At death (Hebrews 9:27). At the Rapture for those who have heard and consciously rejected Him (II Thessalonians 2:10-12). To those who have continued deeper into wickedness, suppressing the knowledge of God (Romans 1:18-32). See the door shut, Matthew 25:10; Luke 13:25; John 10:1. Who is the door? John 10:9.
4) When the LORD opens or shuts: Job 12:14; Isaiah 22:22; Revelation 3:7-8.
