Notes in Genesis Chapter 39

Genesis 39:3 - "And his master saw that the LORD was with him...."

Unbelievers must plainly see our walk with God, I Peter 3:15.

Genesis 39:5 - "...the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake...."

Our labor should be a blessing to our employer (even to unbelievers), not a curse or stumbling block.  I Timothy 6:1-2.

Genesis 39:12 - "...and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out."

Flee fornication, I Corinthians 6:18.  Flee also youthful lusts, II Timothy 2:22.

Genesis 39:20 - "And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison...."
