Matthew 1:11 - And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried
away to Babylon:
(In the lineage of Joseph, husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus Christ).
NOTE: Jeremiah 22:24-30 curses King Jechoniah so that "no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling
any more in Judah." Jesus, the legal son of Joseph, has the legal right to rule as King. But He could not be of the physical seed of King Jechoniah (or therefore of Joseph) or this curse of God would also apply to Him. Therefore, the Virgin Birth of Christ is required to make Christ the King. He gains the legal right of the throne through Joseph, but not the curse.
